Carbon Footprint

This project delves into my exploration of Providence’s history in relation to climate, juxtaposing it with current climate trends and issues. This forms a map of future projections outlining how the climate affects land, sea, and community members in Provi- dence. Through this installation, I aim to inspire our audience to visually and physically experi- ence the concept of leaving a personal impact on climate change, symbolized by squeezing bottles.

Research

We started by learning about the history of Rhode Island and how the enviornment, climate, and water levels changed over time with the effect of cliamte change. With enough research, we predicted the future of Providence, exploring the possibilities of rising water levels, higher temperatures and risks that will occur to people living in Providence if nothing is done about climate change.

Our mission was to tackle the isssue of climate change in our local area of Rhode Island and understanding the history, present, and future of our regional environment through an interactive installation, inviting viewers to walk through and leave their climate impact.
