Social Media Content
During my previous internship, I had the opportunity to plan, design, and promote social media content for a non-profit organization, Of Color, Inc. It was a gratifying experience to leverage my skills in crafting engaging narratives and visually compelling designs to communicate the organization's mission effectively. Through strategic content creation and promotion, I contributed to increasing Of Color, Inc.'s online visibility and engagement, ultimately fostering a deeper connection with the community it serves.
Project Management
The internship's significant focus was strategizing social media content for clients. This involved understanding various clients' unique needs and goals, gathering tailored strategies, and translating them into visually compelling graphics. Of Color, Inc. aims and strives to help people of all colors enhance their economic and educational goals. I designed data visuals, integrating statistics they provided to design a simple yet informative graphic to post on various social media platforms. While incorporating their branding color schemes, typography, and logo, I could design according to their mission and brand, making appropriate changes based on their feedback.
Collaboration
One of the critical aspects of the internship was the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals within the Wolf Design & Creative team. This collaborative environment allowed me to witness firsthand the intricacies of graphic design in a professional setting. Engaging with experienced designers gave me valuable awareness of the industry's best practices, workflow efficiency, and the creative processes that drive successful design projects.
In the context of social media, I gained insights into the importance of staying updated on current design trends. The fast-paced nature of social media allowed me to develop a keen awareness of what is visually appealing and engaging to target audiences. I had the opportunity to experiment with various design styles and video formats. From conceptualization to execution, I experienced the entire design process, learning to balance creativity with practicality while working with multiple people on the same project.
