Exploring the depths of her portfolio and delving into her recent works afforded me a comprehensive insight into the distinctive realm of her artistic endeavors. Through a meticulous examination of her body of work, a nuanced understanding of her personal style emerged, characterized by a harmonious blend of innovation and finesse. The projects showcased in her portfolio served as windows into the conceptual landscapes she navigates with finesse, providing a glimpse into the thought processes that drive her creative expression.







Drafts


During the process of drafting the newsprint design, I found a certain level of comfort in relying on strict grids and columns to meticulously align various elements like text, images, and quotes.

However, a desire to push my creative boundaries and echo the stylistic nuances present in Goodspeed's work led me to a pivotal decision: to break free from the constraints of conventional grids and squares. This bold shift away from my accustomed design framework became a deliberate endeavor to infuse the layout with a sense of dynamic creativity. Embracing asymmetry, fluidity, and unconventional placements, I sought to mirror the essence of Goodspeed's artistic expression, challenging myself to explore new design territories and allowing the visual elements to organically interact beyond the confines of rigid structures. This departure from the familiar grid not only added an exciting dimension to the newsprint but also facilitated a more authentic representation of the designer's unique style.
