Progress

By starting off with a personal object that I collect; many tourist badges and pins from different countries and states, I collected furhter material that would include and exclude within my exisiting collection.

Brainstorming and gathering images that would be related to my personal collection of travel badges, I thought of license plates, frames, movies, traveling, numbers and more.

In contrast, I thought about topic that would not be related to my badge such as my personal phobia of needles, texture of the badge or its background, and microscopic and macroscopic universess.

2D Posters into 3D Object

From the finalized 2D posters of excluded and included collections, I chose one poster to design into a 3D object. Because my exclusion poster focuses on the topic of mirco/macroscopes, I started to ideate a way to physcially show the scale differences in my poster. I designed an accordion book to demonstrate the drastic scale of microscopic and macroscopic elements present in my poster. In this project, arrows and directions were an significant part of the design, therefore, I incorporated a yellow string to guide viewers through the large accordion.
