Knoll Rebranding
This personal exploration embarks on the rebranding journey for Knoll's logo and brand, where I aim to infuse a minimalist aesthetic while delving into the rich tapestry of Knoll's history. By distilling the essence of the brand into a cleaner, more streamlined logo, I intend to create a visual language that resonates with contemporary design trends while paying homage to Knoll's significant historical contributions to modern furniture and architecture. Through meticulous research and thoughtful design choices, my aim is to craft a brand narrative that not only embraces simplicity but also unfolds a meaningful narrative, reflecting the enduring legacy and evolution of Knoll over the years.
Research
The project commenced with an in-depth exploration of the storied history of Knoll's brand and its developmental trajectory. Through thorough research, I delved into the roots and evolution of Knoll, unraveling the narrative threads that shaped its identity over time.
Sketches
Initiating my design process, I immersed myself in the essence of Knoll's iconic and historical furniture, extracting key features that encapsulated the brand's rich legacy. Each sketch became an exploration, seeking not only aesthetic appeal but also delving into the historical significance embedded in each furniture piece. I meticulously examined the repetition of design elements, identifying intersections where form and function seamlessly intertwined.
Line Sketches
By weaving these details into my sketches, I aimed to create a visual narrative that not only captured the essence of Knoll's history but also celebrated the enduring legacy of each piece through thoughtful and meaningful design choices.
Having crafted minimalist designs, I chose to infuse Knoll's brand typography into my work, giving rise to a distinctive logo or icon. This decision aimed to amalgamate the essence of Knoll's design philosophy with my minimalist sketches.
The exploration extended further into the realm of color, where I experimented with diverse and unique color schemes drawn from the extensive palette inspired by Knoll's fabric selection, fostering a visual language that resonates with the brand's rich heritage and design versatility.

Application
The final minimalist design not only stands as an iconic logo but also transforms seamlessly into a compelling poster. In a deliberate effort to infuse information without sacrificing simplicity, I strategically integrated the names of each chair into the design. This nuanced approach not only adds depth and context to the visual composition but also serves as an informative element, ensuring that the audience gains insights into the distinct identity of each chair while appreciating the overall simplicity and elegance of the design.
The result is a harmonious fusion of functionality and aesthetic appeal, where every detail plays a role in conveying both the individuality of each chair and the cohesive visual narrative of the entire collection.
